Has anyone replaced a gas door hinge on a GTB?
I just bought an 1985 and I am trying to fix everything 😎

Yes, I've worked on one on a 328 GTB and it's the same as a 308. What do you need to know? Pictures are always helpful, worth a thousand words.

Unfortunately, that's an "impossible to find" part.

I was very lucky to find one here in Italy: the only for sale i saw was in Australia with an asking price of 650 euro

    ciao

    Edit:

but if you just look for the hinge and not for the door too, it's ok and you can find it at Europares, for example.

The hinge is available, the door is not.

It's truly a not well constructed part.

    moulding removal
i repaired mine with two part epoxy and an old watch strap.

It depends on where the break is. It could require a window removal or it could require just drilling out the rivets that hold the hinge in place and then replacing and re-riveting the door back in place, all without having to remove the window.

I remember that thread as I helped the guy out but I forget the exact details of where exactly his hinge broke that required a window removal. I would have to dig that up and review it.

A description or better yet pictures from the OP would help.
