Washing the car the other day and noticed I got wet spots on the rear parcel shelf at the bottom of the rear quarter windows. I'd like like to fix the problem since the fabric on the shelf is still nice and not stained. Is it as simple as just replacing the gasket around the window, or does whole frame need to come out. The gasket looks like part number 60058302. How do I go about doing this?

    Any pointers appreciated.

There's numerous GTB owners around here that have this problem (myself included). Apparently there is a dab of sealant that is in the channel at the base of the window near the louvers. When this fails, it allows water to enter the channel via the louvers and then it has nowhere to go except into the car. I have not repaired this myself, but it's my understanding that by removing the window and the gasket you can re-seal the channel.
