Just about to buy this vehicle - wondered if anyone had any experience obtaining an extended warranty from Ferrari?

    1. Is it a bumper to bumper warranty?
    2. What length of warranty do they offer by means of an extension?
    3. Roughly how much?
    4. I presume the 7 year service offer extends to second owners? (Buying an 18’)

    Answers would be greatly appreciated

Lots of warranty threads here with your answers but one thing you have not clarified which affects warranty is whether the purchase is direct from an official Ferrari dealer or another source

    Service goes with vehicle.
Extending the warranty within warranty period is about 12k for two more years for 12 cylinders. I don’t know what it is for 8 cylinder vehicles. Maybe the same or less. That transaction is extending the original warranty bumper to bumper.

The CPO is available if the warranty has expired by more than 1(?) month or so and is more limited. That is the New Power Warranty.

As above the details and nuances are discussed frequently here. There is one recent thread with a serious quant analysis which argues against the NPW.

For your use with two year window 15k if the original warranty extension is an option I would obtain. I did.

    Good luck with purchase.

    Pictures or it didn’t happen.

Btw you will love that car. I was torn between the two but the overall platform is amazing.

For cars that are purchased from a Ferrari dealership, the 2-year power warranty is actually $5760. Afterwards it's about that much per year up to year 14 I think.

Not sure about the 8 cylinder. My B12 is $5700 for the Power warranty or $8700 for the bumper to bumper extension. I had a courtesy bumper to bumper extension (year 4) and will continue with a Power extension. The B8 is probably a little less expensive.

Courtesy extension? Nice. I wish I could have gotten that in my negotiations. I was told FNA is strict about dealership payments on these warranties.

8 weeks in service for a new PTU in the summer of ‘19. Got a huge runaround before they properly diagnosed and fixed it. A lot of BS. I got FNA in NJ involved and pretty high up on the food chain....not sure of the dealer paid for it or Ferrari comped it....

This may come back to haunt me , but I wouldn't pay for the warranty extension.
The V8T motor seems pretty bullet proof and you don't have the 4WD/PTU to worry about.

    If you know you know
    1. Warranty Extension ( 4th & 5th Year ) is a continuation of the original 3 year warranty New Power or Main Power is a listed coverage agreement
    2. Ferrari warranty options are on a 12 month basis, with exception for the 2 for 1 deal currently in play when you purchase from a Ferrari Dealership (as of 2022)
    3. See Below
    4. 7 year stays with the chassis

    Warranty Extension:
    $6,300 1 year V8
    $8,700 1 year v12
    $9,900 2 years V8
    $13,200 2 years V12

    New Power Warranty:
    $4,500 1 year v8
    $5,760 1 year v12

    Main Power Warranty:
    $4,900 1 year v8
    $6,160 1 year V12

** There are renewal discounts as well as if you had no claims in the previous year!

*** There are mandatory inspections that are required depending on which of the above options you choose.

    Even less if you renew!

    V8 Renewal Discount $375.00
V8 No claims previous year Discount $375.00

    V12 Renewal Discount $570.00
v12 No claims previous years Discount $570.00

FWIW... TTV8 are almost all having engine oil leaks, some are having turbos replaced. Warranty extension would cover both, New Power would cover head gasket leaks, but not valve covers or front plate leaks.

The warranty more than pays for itself with this one claim/repair , YMMV

Great info. I’m about to renew my New Power Warranty. Do you have a link to these discounts?

They're always changing the warranty option....I guess Main Power includes an extension of the maint AND the NewPower15 warranty....I don't see the Lusso listed under that warranty on Ferraris site though....

Thank you Steve. You are an amazing source of info.

I believe at the time of my purchase 2 1/2 years ago my Lusso warranty extension was 6800 for two years also on a two for one deal.

I was savvy enough to have that wrapped into the price of my 812 which makes me look smarter and smarter.

And of course you and your coworker Nazanin took care of my warranty extension for my 2016 F 12 for a two for one deal as well I believe.

They were all worth it to the OP.

    Thank you.

No, not at all. Mileage around 15 k now.
No issues with the car at all.
Car was 3 years old in November 2021.
Was told by my dealer that UK cars have a 4 year warranty as well as 7 years service plan.
So will think about it again in late summer.
