    FF ground clearance is listed at 145mm but I checked mine and it’s closer to 135mm +/-5mm at the front.

    The user manual for the FF says that the lift adds an extra 40mm.

    I’m aware that the Lusso may be different but I suspect it’s not materially different...

    Thanks a lot for your answer, probably about the same on the Lusso

    How necessary is the lifter? Less than half the cars I’ve looked at have it? Trying to determine if it’s a deal breaker.

    Well i guess it depends on where you live and how you use it. For me I think it will be absolutely necessary to have it.

    I will measure when I get a chance. I don’t use the lifter very often- but the few times I’ve used it, I am surely glad I have it. Everyone is different but speaking entirely for myself, I would put the listen one notch down from “must have” category, it is, however, very much at the top of the “nice to have” category.

    Unless you are regularly going to negotiate steep angles between a street and a driveway, you don't need it. I have a neighbor with a fairly steep driveway and I can go up and down his without using my lifter, albeit slowly. This is on a FF, might be different on a Lusso.

    Completely pointless.... until you need it :) In other words, it's a "must have".

    I just did some measurements, please note I am just a regular person!

    Front bumper under center- 6.25” / 158.75mm / {the lower section is a plastic (or CF if you option it) extender and then behind that it the cover sits a little lower than this piece. I measured under this lower area! }

    Rear diffuser under center- 6 ¼” / 158.75mm

    Front wheel arch - the area at the front - 5” / 127mm

    Front wheel arch- the area at the back - 4 ⅞ “ / 123.825mm

    Rear wheel arch - the area at the front - 5 ¾” / 146.05mm

    Rear wheel arch - the area at the back - 6 ¼” / 158.75

    This is with the car at rest on a flat surface (inside my garage). I do have the lifter. I remember reading somewhere that it will lift both the front and rear (the only Ferrari with both front and rear as I recall) by 2 inches which is 50.8mm. I believe Ferrari has the lifter on both ends with Lusso because of the length of the vehicle. One thing to remember with any vehicle with a lifter on one end- when you lift one side, the other side gets lower! (This is a real issue with Pista!!)

    thanks a lot, I guess I could manage without the lifter but I think it would be really great to have. Time to start looking for the perfect vehicle!
