Wednesday and yesterday Ferrari UK had their Lusso T test drive days at Millbrook Proving Ground, a UK motor industry test facility which includes a banked Oval, standing Mile and Alpine circuit. There were about 10 Lusso gathered together (probably all the UK demonstrators) mostly silver/GT or GS, the exceptions being the Rosso Fiorano car I had on my test weekend back in January, a super high spec CDF (over dark grey alcantara) car and one in what I think was Blue Scozia with red calipers that looked superb. Clearly a host of images that would sit well on this thread were there to be taken... Such a shame Millbrook insist on "no cameras", in case people snap prototypes which were testing under disguise at the facility. At one stage , a chap with long lens did lean out of a bush beside the high speed oval and point it at my car, if he turns out to be a Millbrook/Ferrari sanctioned photographer and I get sent the image I'll be sure to post it. It had rained all morning (spring/UK) but the various courses had pretty much dried out by lunchtime. Respect to Mrs 635CSI for launch controlling her way to 167 MPH at the 3/4 mile point before slamming her dainty foot on the carbono cerimicos for the 40 MPH limit banked bend that, seemingly, starts about 10 ft after the 1 Mile marker. Thanks to Ferrari of course, I am having no regrets over committing the most expensive thing we have ever bought without a bathroom. Hurry up June !
Just back from a frozen Goodwood Members Meeting. I thought you might like to know that our good taste is shared by the legendary Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March) as can be seen from his private parking space at the event, and windscreen pass. I believe that's Ferrari's GTC4 V-12 press car which they lent to the Duke for the members meeting, not his personal car, but anyways, was good to see.
That was my first color choice when I configured my Lusso. Very nice but then I thought it would be a little bit too obnoxious for France, where expensive car owner bashing is a popular sport. Ended up with GS which is beautiful, however that red is stunning! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Sad. I guess that means keying the car, slashing tires, smashing windows, and yelling at the driver. Anything else they do?...Hopefully no physical attack on the driver.
I have never had physical attack, but I have gotten the occasional middle finger. I never park my cars in the street, always in covered parking lot, so it mitigates the risk a little. The main risk is more to get your car keyed or spat at. That's why I always have a dashcam with parking mode installed. The worst I had was a couple of years ago, when a guy through a AA battery at my side window at a red light, then took off... No damage to the car fortunately.
Yes..... Tailor Made..... I only have photos from her arrival at the dealership in January, and she's now dirty after a tough winter here in the UK! I'll take some photos in due course! Image Unavailable, Please Login
What was the inspiration for the color scheme of the car? I remember your gorgeous Sessanata from a while back. Another masterpiece.
