    Hi,

Been looking at getting either the Gtech RR or the AP22 from Race Technology (http://www.race-technology.com/WebPage2/Products/Products_en.html)

Does anyone have experience in either or both?
I want to use it for Torque/HP readings (relative readings that is), and have the ability to move it between my cars.

I like the connective simplicity of Gtech with it's RPM pick from power, but not it's extrapolation of Speed measurements and no correction for Cd and rolling resistance

I like the AP22 ability to take a GPS measure of speed (I think it's an extra feature) and it's use of rolling and Cd resistance in it's power calculations. But I don't like the RPM wiring in and there doesn't seem to be any Torque calculations (unless they are done in the software by taking RPM into consideration). Obviously the AP22 will require more money to spend on it to get the benefits of GPS, but seems more expandable.

Both around the same ballpark price.

    Soooooo, which would people recommend.

Gtech comes with instructions to calculate drag.

Manually? or part of the software package?

Race tech has an online drag calculation, but that is entered into the AP22, and the data adjusted accordingly. you do a run to setup the drag data inthe AP22, so it is factored in the final reading.

Manually. It involves a coast down test.
