That is a GTE wing, you can see the center peice sorta, it kinda blends in with the background, but if you look close enough you can spot it

    That's an LM wing.

Once uppon a time...(about 10 years ago) I was authorized by Michelotto to travel with a customer's chassis and perform a GTE conversion at thier facility. I was managing an Authorized Dealer's race program at the time. Didn't go as the client determined the cost was a bit out of range. Memory is saying about $200k, but much less than $300k.

The process is (was) basically gut the chassis, add in structure, new coachwork, suspension, hubs (uprights), brake system, engine, gearbox, etc. You'd get a virtually new car, and crates full of the old components (body, drivetrain, suspension, wheels...).

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Rob Schermerhorn

The one in this link is a GTE. Though, now I'm doubting some memory cells here. GTE generation 1 may have been an LM style rear wing...

... but I do know the above link's photo is a GTE.

Basically, Michelotto built the LM's off of Ferrari's purchase order. Ferrari homologated them. Once that batch was built, the PO ran out, and Michelotto (with Ferrari's best wishes) continued to build to customer specification, and evolved the design to GTE, etc.

The LM's are worth more as they were Ferrari authorized.

    Best,

    Rob
