GTO---- No Radio

It seems one of the new US 599 GTO's arrived at the dealer "sans" Radio. Apparently , at least in the US. If you did not order the HIFI option you get the car with a big empty slot where the radio goes and no speakers. Hopefully its been at least prewired. I optioned it on mine but maybe I should have gone the other way. After all, ferraris have never been known for their high quality sound systems. Assuming the owner wants one. He now gets to start from scratch. Putting together his own personal, and hopefully superior system at possibly a lower cost.

 

i ticked the Hifi box, but without it does that mean you also avoid having that annoying "bose" logo staring back at you all the time? i tried to get the logo deleted but because of the deal with bose, the factory won't do it, and you have to take the dash out to get rid of the thing after the fact, so the dealer doesn't want to do it.

Deleting the Hifi is the only way -- wish i'd thought of that! Getting pretty excited for my car to arrive, even though it won't be until the winter.

 

It comes standard with the best radio ever made ... just a couple of feet in front of you, under the bonnet. No need for a radio in a GTO. I have yet to miss it for one second

Don't know if it comes pre-wired but I doubt it.

 

Agreed, heard a GTO for the first timea few weeks ago and why anyone would want to listen to anything else....
