GTO spitting flames-video

Incredible. That thing is a dream machine. Pretty wild to see a stock car spit 2 foot flames out the back!

Of course, in deference and fairness to several on the board that seem to "know" without ownership or experience: "its really only a slightly lighter 599 with a bit more hp and its not worthy of the name, instead it should have been called a 599 Scud"....

Very cool. The sound of the GTO is nothing short of amazing. Such a stunning machine.

However, I've never seen other 599 GTOs emitting such flames. Did the owner modify the exhaust set-up?

 

M-individual said his wife noticed flames from the exhaust when drinving behind his own GTO.

I haven't seen another video of the 599 GTO in these lighting conditions, maybe that is the cause

 

I seriously doubt anyone would even consider touching GTO's exhaust, if anyone does he is insane and should be put out of his misery

Rob, what about the F50, I've seen a few videos of that with flames out the exhaust. Not as much as the GTO though.

 

Stradale and F430 were known to shoot blue flames also. At least european versions.

 

Rob, Believe it or not my carb 308 spits flames regularly . It's notorious in the Mid-Atlantic thread.

I seriously want a 599 GTO! Hell I would live in it if I needed to! Those videos were incredible, they just make me want the car even more than I already do!

 

i know this is sacreligoues... but gallardos do it pretty easily... My 355 did it with test pips...

I really enjoyed watching that video. People will start to believe more and more what I wrote in my thread about my car. Its simply is an amazing piece of engineering.

forgive my ignorance but...
how these flames are practically generated?
And why we can see them in the GTO while I never saw them in the GTB?
It's a matter of power or is the type of exaust?
