Does anyone have a USA price list for GTO and have a sense of the availability of ordering slots for the car? I currently have a 458 and am investigating whether there might be an opportunity to upgrade ... but also trying to understand what kind of coin it will cost me from the retirement fund

    thanks in advance!

1 - as noted elsewhere : half a million bucks

2 - allegedly sold out which means it probably depends on how much clout your dealer has

I appreciate the top level number, however I am wondering if there is a more detailed breakdown, especially base MSRP. My understanding is that it was more in the 400k range.

Can't help with option pricing. But if you are serious about wanting a GTO, at this point you are nearly certainly wasting your time thinking about spec'ing the car / options and option prices. The car is sold out.

Crazy stuff happens, especially in the current economy, so the only way to know for sure is call your dealer...

Base aprox. 415/420K. With minimum options and taxes aprox. 455K out the door. Hitting 500K is easy.

This is correct. Base price is just a hair over $400K. Depending on the options, it's very easy to get to the aforementioned half mil mark. One GTO already delivered had an MSRP of $440K. But if you're not on the list as one of the original owners, be prepared to swallow your wallet because you'll have to pay out the ass to get someone to give their's up.

I'll confirm all of the above...and as noted elsewhere, would also agree that you shouldn't expect owners to part with them at all, much less easily.

Indeed, with the issues that any sale would likely cause an owner with the factory relationship, I'd say for the first year of so you'd really only looking for a seller who's had some type of misfortune-family, serious financial, health only.

And even then, the amounts I've heard being kicked around on a resale are "significantly" higher than MSRP+options/taxes...

599 GTO is not sold out, simple. If you want to confirm, call your dealer.

    Regards
    Mike

Edited to say: Maybe your dealer has sold their allocation, however the factory WILL accept more orders above the dealers' upper threshold.

Possibly you can explain how you "know" this to be true--given that my dealer has sold out of its allocation and has already told excellent customers that it will get no more. Others in the US of which I'm aware are in a similar position.

Fact remains that its a limited car--and, all allocations have been pro-offered to its dealers long ago. Add to this, Ferrari says all are sold out.

Assuming for a minute your statement is correct, the only way for your dealer to get "another" allocation would be to take it from someone else's book.

Here's the rub with that: I've seen the profit margin on the vehicle--and its suitably large, esp compared to other offerings by Ferrari/Maser.

Given that, I really can't see many dealers "giving back" their already allocated slots...so anonther dealer can profit.

Interesting .. My dealer says he got two build slots and both have been ordered. He has five more people wanting to buy but doesn't see himself getting any more slots .. Perhaps I will try to press him and say to just try to put the order in and see what happens?? Seems like a weird process ...

My dealer is getting three. He has at least six more well healed loyal customers who are very upset. They realized they missed the boat on this one and there just ain't no more coming. Now if your saying that the factory may possibly be interested in building an extra two, three, four GTO's for very special and preferred customers. Then yes i believe its not only possible. But has actually been done before from time to time. In regards to some earlier highly desired models and their perfered cutomers. However, the customer in question would have to have a very personal and close relationship with those making the decisions at Ferrari SPA. Any discussions along these lines would exclude any dealer participation.

Ferrari of Atlanta had two slots. Both sold along time ago. FOA has tried to get a third and to date no success. The buyer is VERY well known, has an Enzo, F40 Ect.... didn't get the GTO. So I am thinking they are right when they say SOLD OUT.

George, if I haven't said it before, forgive me! Beautiful car, and hope you're enjoying it at every opportunity!

Its hard to explain how fantasticly these machines truly perform. I'm beyond pleased and hope you feel the same way!

btw: Seems a few "missed the boat" as I know of several very well know, well healed and loyal customers that have also been told--sorry, all sold out and no more available!

there is a white one at f of long isl.
personally, i dont get the gto. its too big/heavy for a track car and its massive performance is too much for the street. give me a scud or a 458 instead

The Scud is an amazing track car but not a great road car. Those lucky enough to already own a GTO say it is both. A great track and long distance GT Ferrari. Weight and size is subjective these days. It weighs less than a 458 and its older brother the 599XX from which the GTO is derived is " a track car" period.

We had to submit a form of all previous Ferrari's we had bought and send it in, in order to even request to order the 599 GTO as soon as we had gotten the go ahead due to our collection of ferrari's we were given the allocation. Ferrari has to approve the amount of allocations per dealership

The GTO IS sold out.......they are now/will only be available in the secondary market......I very much doubt that any 'new' buyer will be able to spec one at MSRP now.

    Hang on a minute.

You had no idea where to buy one and were asking where you could get one - and then 20 hours later...

...you have not only bought one, but you've attended the grand opening party there too? That's quite a transition between two extremes in a very short space of time. How did you manage that one? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

number one you need to get your facts straight . the grand opening part was at ferrari of long island two weeks ago and they borrowed my car to put on the showroom floor. that was the first car delivered out of that dealership http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300743

number two i made the post about being intersted in the car because i know for a fact that there are no cars to be had at msrp at any dealership in the USA and yes i would buy another one at msrp if you can show me one
