No, I am not interested in changing the factory cats. I don't want that much noise nor do I want any potential warranty issues.

So, x pipe and rear section is what I am left with. Anyone with a GPF car do the rear section only? Looking at Kline and Tubi only. No interest in novitec.

See if this works. It's Novitec, but gives you an idea. It's a lot of money for not a lot of difference, at least through computer speakers. When I did just the X pipe on my 812SF, I wasn't happy with the low end sound. It seemed to almost disappear, but because I only drive the GTS top down, I may try it again. Capristo also good.

Thanks, yeah that was my fear. They basically to my ears sound about the same. I'm guessing the GPF is so restrictive that anything downstream of that is almost irrelevant.

With the X pipe, it was a great high-end sound, but I lost all drama down low. Downshifts were pretty quiet, etc. the higher pitch started at 3k rpm though, which was cool. In the video, you can hear the higher pitch, but not much more.

You would really want to remove the GPF.

For porsche folks have found that they can knock out the ceramic GPF material from their 992 GT3s. Any similar experiences with removal of GPF material from factory 812 exhausts?

I could be mistaken, but I believe that only works for North America delivered GT3s as the ECU does not monitor the GPF functionality.

I believe the GPF is monitored in the GTS regardless of delivery country.

I did the Capristo back box on my GTS. It’s not a huge difference from stock. The GPF is the main restriction as mentioned.

I will say that as time passes the sound seems to be getting a tiny bit better. Not sure why.

Avia11 mentioned that he left cats/GPF in and took out the back box. His dealer welded the pipes so it’s straight through after GPF. He said the sound is just like the Superfast without GPF.

Was it any better with valves open for you with the back boxes only? I'd take just a little more sound...not a lot, just a little.

In the few GPS cars I’ve put miles on, they seem to sound better after 4-500 miles. It could be entirely psychological, but I think the GPFs break in a little and become less restrictive in terms of sound.

It’s a tiny bit better. I also have the valve controller.
