GTS Targa Top Double Bubble

Great idea. The head room clearance is limited especially when you have a helmet on during track days.

 

Like the one on the yellow Scorpion?
Somebody should fab them for the GTS

I'd like more flowing bubbles better though than the ones on the Lancia in the pic.

 

The problem with adding "Gurney Bubbles" to a targa top is that it would stick up above the car's built-in roll structure. That would put roll pressure on the roof and windscreen frame. In a roll, that bubbled roof would probably crush down on the driver's head.

I've also noticed that my 328 is sensitive to aerodynamic changes around the roof. When the roof latch screws got loose once, I could feel it getting nervous at high speed.

For the street, though, I find the 328 quite comfortable (without a helmet), even though I'm 6'4" (193cm).
It wasn't at first, until I found a comfortable seating position.
If you're not happy with the "arms out" italian driving position, you might want to consider a steering wheel spacer, so you can semi-recline without reaching for the wheel.

What annoys me, though, is having the seat backs pushed forward when stowing the top.

 

If your car is rolling over I would think the least of your worries is a 1" high fiberglass bubble attached to your targa top...

Apparently the Gurney bubbles worked out OK above 210mph on 7-litre Ford GT40s on the Mulsanne Straight. But, I'm sure aero is indeed affected so best to keep it down below 200....

If you're rolling a 328, you're so far beneath any level of driving competence that you should be limited to pedal cars.
