Hi, having now sold my GTSi (my first Ferrari) I'm now looking for a 308 GTS carb or QV. Would really appreciate any leads to a nice car.
This site was such an amazing find and it's great to have other owners who are willing to help with advice about buying, maintaining and fettling a Ferrari. It's now a daily read for me.
    Thanks, Graham.

I did the same thing 10 years ago. Sold my GTSi and bought a '85 QV. no regrets!

I think you need a GT4. The chassis on those is a great recipe! It just feels so perfect to drive on a windy road. Also. I think they are the lightest of the 308 group, and the early ones have that euro tuned motor that just presents as being really well tuned. Less sound deadening material as you hear every gear sound from the drivetrain. I love it! I also like that they are a bit more rare. Lot's of Lotus guesses etc.

    Just my opinion.

They are lovely cars and I have thought about getting one especially after seeing one in Rush the movie but it just doesn't make my heart race the way a 308 GTS does. I think it's because the 308 GTS was the bedroom wall car from my childhood.
