Was in Guam last week on biz. My father was a B-29B pilot that flew with the 315th off of Northwest Field, which is now overgrown by jungle. Through the generosity of the Red Horse CE guys, I actualy got to go to NW field and see the old B-29 pads and some of the archeological remnants. Not much left after a few typhoons in 60 years, but did find an old stone retaining wall and building pad in the area that the 315th was bedded down that I think was the Oclub or HQ building. It really meant a lot to see the place Dad flew from and walk the same places.
I'll post pictures next week, but would appreciate anyone with any hisorical data chiming in.

That’s a really cool story, I’m non military but moved to Guam almost 2 years ago and I drive by NW field about once a week. I always wonder what’s left back there so I’m looking forward to the pictures.

Off topic here, but Rob how is the little girl?
