Guess the car and the name of the album

Allman Brothers Band...Eat a Peach

 

I liked that album, but it was released after Duane's death if i remember correctly. I was more taken with Live at the Fillmore East, which to me, marked the hi-point of that band. I sort of ran into them a few years ago at the RR Hall of Fame, when they were induced. Greg Allman is about the size of a double Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer.

 

Was the Live at Fillmore album recorded at the same time as the Humble Pie album of the same name?

 

Eat a Peach is:
1/4 Studio Tracks without Duane
1/2 Fillmore East Recordings with Duane
1/4 Studio Tracks with Duane

 

But the real trivia question is....

Do you know why the album is called Eat a Peach?

It was the first release after Duane died. He rode his motorcycle into the back of a truck hauling peaches.

Duane played pedal steel guitar on the Derrick and the Dominos classic, Layla. That is Duane playing the iconic soaring solo on that tune.

I saw Greg 8 years ago at Rick's in Houston. What wasn't unique was seeing him, rather it was the honey he was with would lie down on the runway with dollar bills in her mouth and lick, errr place them in the dancer's G-strings.

 

Sad, but I believe Berry Oakley died on a motorcycle a year later. Eat a Peach is still a great album.

 

I have a greatest hits CD in my car right now includes a couple from the Fillmore east live album.
I also have an original Almond joys album with my others, have not pulled them out in a while.
