This: Except for some rust, a really nice driver. It just might work for me. I'll try to get a PPI this week. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Clifford, that's awesome...! Congratulations...! Can you give us young'ns an impression of what the car was like to drive...?
As Dr. Trashy's therapist, I would to thank all of you on Ferrari Chat for indugling him in his favorite fantasy. (Professional ethics forbids me from discussing his other perversions, uh, I mean fantasies.) Like all good fantasies, though, the worst that anyone can do is actually act on one. Because, after all, should Dr. Trashy buy a Ferrari, he will have no further excuses for spending endless hours on Internet chat boards obsessing about buying a dream. (Just Kidding. Hope this is the one for you.) Dale
Hey Doc, that's way cool. Hmmm, I recently recall reading that you had "given up" on the idea of owning a Ferrari.... I'm glad to hear you've come back to your senses! Beautiful and classic. I'm sure the PPI will turn out great.
Its the old "as soon as you start down your tree stand a 12 point buck walks by" syndrome. why is always that way? The harder you look the less you find, but decide you don't care one way or the other...BAM!
You could say "honey, I'll be right back".......... No, on better thought, say "kids, we'll be right back" LOL! We got ya' on the rear kart spoiler, man, you GOTTA do it!
Its a biased personal suggestion but I strongly suggest you take a look here: http://www.symbolicmotors.com/mainpages/carpage.php?cid=1967Fer330GTC_9955 Nicest one to come my way in over ten years. Contact me privately for full information and further details. Ciao, Bill
Well, I couldn't get past the rust issue with that car. Talked with Mr. Bill Noon in California and he was very persuasive about #9955 pictured below... In fact he has my deposit! pending inspection Monday at Mr. Bobileff's place in San Diego. So, DrTax, maybe I'll quit whining about all this and finally buy a car! http://www.symbolicmotors.com/mainpages/carpage.php?cid=1967Fer330GTC_9955 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dr Who, I feel good about it. I'm, in general, a really frugal guy and its hard for me to spend money, almost to a unreasonable extent, so I'm proud of myself for dropping the hammer. Usually a big purchase for me ties my stomach up in knots, but not this time. My wife and kids are REALLY happy about it as the THINK I'll STFU about it now! DMC: I also would have prefered a darker color, in fact I had a deposit on a dark blue one in St Louis a few months ago that didn't work out. As you know these cars were not meant to be red, although red does lend itself to the lines of the car IMHO.
Congratulations. Welcome to the vintage brotherhood (PM me for the secret handshake). Your Homework: 2 day assignment searching the archives and rebuild diary on tomyang.net Seriously; It looks nice in red, and I know you will enjoy it. Now, the wait begins for the car to be shipped, right? (I have 2 weeks left for my Maserati Coupe). thx luke
I'm being careful to not count my chickies, I got disappointed with the blue one in St Louis. What Maser did you buy? I always liked the Sebrings, Series 1 or 2...hmmm...can't remember, but one series was really pretty.
