Once AGAIN my pile of crap 348 has broken!

    WTF is it this time?

I'll give you a few clues.

I have been dealing with a misfire problem. I constantly get code 1212 on the 1/4 bank. What have I done in an attempt to correct the problem?
New spark plugs = no difference
New O2 sensors = no difference
New Coolant temp sensors = no difference
New crank sensors = no difference
Swapped out the injector wiring loom for one fitted with SR Gold connector kit = a bit better, but still the miss it there. Swapped back to the original loom = right back to square one
Pulled the injectors and plugged in a set on 24lbers = the Motronic HATED the 24lbers and threw CEL on BOTH banks within 2 minutes of start up, and still the misfire is there.

So...... guess what....chicken butt? LOL! Whatcha think it is????

That's next, but first I have to ship out the old injectors to get cleaned and mapped.

    Anyhoooo....

    That isn't what's broken.

    So guess again.

Did you snap off your knob while thrusting between gears too vigorously? ;)

Or you broke a tire by running over a nail? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Small innocuous retainer clip broken somehow...?

(Can you tell I'm looking for something non-catastrophic?)

    All the best,

Oh dear... that's not innocuous at all.

Will you be repairing the old ones or replacing them with new parts?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Well I'm gonna get a set of custom headers made up. After seeing that a new set of factory headers will cost $1800+ for EACH side, I decided it would be better for me to spend that kind of money on a custom set. That and I don't really feel like just getting them repaired. I honestly feel that there is still untapped power to be released from our engines, and a well designed set of headers will help turn it loose.

The thud you heard yesterday was not the sonic boom from one of the ICBM's you folks "misplaced" out in CA yesterday..."A plane"...... yah, thats it! It was the collective sound of heads hitting the table after you made this post. Prop 19 DID NOT pass, set it down, go for a walk and get a breath of fresh air. GEESH!

""Swapped out the injector wiring loom for one fitted with SR Gold connector kit = a bit better, but still the miss it there. ""

Explain how this could get better if it wasnt dealing with a problem. How would a header affect the wiring loom? How is it possible to ignore a positive result? You could cut the headers off, swap them side to side and run them as Zoomie pipes sticking through the deck lid and that engine would still run fine if everything else was correct.

I realize it is upsetting for many on the west coast that Boulder has taken over as the Loonie Capital of the US but you need not make statements such as this to assure us things are still a bit askew out there.... we all saw the election results, thats proof enough. We use the excuse of thin air and lack of oxygen... Yours? Now that I write this I realize Bruce is going to read it and we might see a 358 with Top Fuel Zoomie pipes sticking through the engine lid..... What is happening out there? Eric, Fatso..... a little help?
