    Looks like Hotel and Ticket prices are coming down.

    I'm in Orange County, CA and was considering coming down on the 23rd and leaving on 24th. The well known hotels on the strip are sold out (Arian, Cosmo, MGM Grand etc.).

    Might consider driving the F Car down, but I would have to feel comfortable that the property would take good care of the car. Let me know if this would be more hassle than its worth. Or if an Fchatter would let me store it in their garage for a night....

    Thought I would reach out to the Locals on F Chat to help me navigate. Are there hotels that are not obvious that I should be looking at? Instead of buying tickets to the grandstands, etc. Are there better events where I should be looking at where I can see the race , eat, and drink?

    Planning on having dinner at the Bar with my favorite bartender at Jean George , so I guess the dinner food is not as critical as we will eat there.

    This will be my first time coming for the F1 race, I am from Boston and would love to get a drink with you.

    I am going cheap and staying at the Linq with my buddies. We are just doing Flamingo GA as that is the Caesars Palace section.

    From what I can tell, driving during the F1 weekend is a nightmare as all the locals were complaining last year. If you want to drive, the Fontainebleu is shuttling their guests in for the race and you can leave your car at the hotel.

    Got a bunch of offers for paddock clubs, Aston Martin $13,500, Ferrari $30,000. General paddock club is $8,500.

    Lots of hotels have viewing parties. Cosmopolitan on their pool deck, etc.

    Got some cocktail invites for Wednesday and Thursday. The Wednesday will at the shops of Crystal Mall between 5-8 pm with the local ferrari club.

    Go on the Las Vegas Formula 1 app. Prices now quite reasonable. Here is just one example: $400 for the race with free food and entertainment in the Sphere zone. Walkable to a lot of hotels on the North Strip. Weather looks clear with temps in the low 50's or high 40's.

    May have waited too long. Just wanted a 1 day ticket and looks like its pretty much sold out for that

    Hotel rooms off strip are reasonable

    I'm on again off again on again.

    Cataract surgery seems to have gone well. So I think I will try and make my way from Orange County to Vegas. Got a connection to get me a room and now I need to book a dog sitter and get the tickets (which seem plentiful on Stubhub). If someone has a better suggestion to get tickets please let me know.

    Don't think I will drive the F car.

    We were offered a decent discount off of retail for the Fountain Club several weeks back, along with a couple of small perqs, but I just have no interest.

    Had a great time meeting the local Ferrari club. They put on a meet at the Shops of Crystal Mall on Wednesday, thanks for doing this. Sorry, I did not attend the Thursday event. Many of the local Tifosi came just for the cocktail party but were leaving before the F1 race.

    The Bugatti club brought 20 cars and were displayed at the Wynn outside. Very generous.

    The gala was amazing. Spoke to Sly Stallone, Tommy Hilfinger, Jay Leno, and Juno Temple. Saw Diana Ross, Michael Fasbender, and Jeffery Wright. Thanks for the friendly people at our table as we did not have cocktail attire. Hope to see you again at other events.

    Last but not least, spoke to Aaron Paul at the Michael Mina restaurant in the Bellagio Saturday night.
