Hey there folks. I recently did a hardline install for a radar detector and dashcam for my 458 spider. Took some photos along the way and documented the process then wrote up this guide for the first part. Hopefully it's helpful for others who might want to attempt this.

Will be adding another guide for the side trim to access the fuse box!

FYI you have added weight , to the rear view mirror. MANY rear view mirrors fall of naturally on 458 and 488's.

It's an escort redline 360c and the m2 dash cam.

Seems really solid right now, but will keep an eye on it.

Awesome, really nice to see this stuff here as for being such a busy forum there is little in the way of DIY which is understandable for Ferrari's but still.

Any specific reason why you didn't just tap into power at the top controls?

I wanted to tap into something that is only on when the ignition is on, and I couldn't find enough information on the wiring in the controls there to know if the hot wires would stay on when the ignition is off.

I ended up going with the pretty common 12v outlet and seat heater fuse to tap, which is a 20amp fuse. Plenty of power for the radar and camera, and in my opinion cleaner wiring that won't mess up the stock harness.

Thanks for the reply and info! Excuse me I was under the impression you dropped the headliner to tap into something there, was that just to conceal wires?

Yeah, just to do the hard wire run to the fuse box. Will make another guide on how to get to the driver side fuse box for the second part, and eventually one for the whole console when I install the CarPlay module.

Thats how it goes solid then all of a sudden droop if not falls depending on what you are doing at the time.
