I was wondering how many people have been on the gumball?
I have not, but while we are on the subject I advise that no one buy, rent or take a second look at the 'Three Days in May, Gumball 3000' "documentary". Complete crap. I have never purchased and sold a DVD so quickly in my life. - Chris
Are you talking about this movie (below)? I went to the premiere last year and I can honestly say that it was pretty entertaining and the production was great.. I just haven't been able to find a U.S. version. Edit: This movie was directed by Stephen Greene, who's brother David now organizes the BullRun. I'm going to pick up the 2004 Bullrun movie (as I'm pretty sure that I'm in it somewhere..) C. Image Unavailable, Please Login
CMY, "3 days in may" (or 6) is the 2004 Gumball. Crappy flick, and footage that all "fans" have already seen in the Extreme Channel coverage. The one you have is from 2003 Gumball (from SF to Miami, right?) and I actually love that movie!!!
Ok.. I guess it was GB 2003 (sorry, I wasn't thinking in movie terms) and was narrated by Burt Reynolds. It is an excellent movie.. anyone wanna make me a US-version copy? C.
SSHHHHHHHHH His name is not to be mentioned on this site..... Refer to him now as "THE GERMAN GENTRY" More fitting imo....
The last i read somewhere, the German Gentry's rally was put on a permanent hold... Im led to believe that the only reason he won the gumball or whatever a few years ago was because he was just a pure nutjob on the roads and didnt care for anyone elses lives.. Hence why no one wanted to drive near him. No wonder he won the rally by like 3 hours or something....
^ i dont doubt that, the guy looks like a nut. how the hell does he have so much money? from the ultimate rally site and some of his links, that guy lives veryy large. what'd he do to make so much?
I guess the only thing that doesn't fit behind the wheel of his FatA$$ merc' is his ego. How pathetic.
Apparently, he went streetracing at night with a Belgian "fan", and filmed the whole thing. At one point one of them with a women with their car, they stopped, got out, filmed the unconscious victim, and drove on without alerting rescueservices. The whole film was posted on the guy's website.
Hacked into private company databases before they either went public or made a big move. I think he made millions on China.com back in the day. Was arrested, did 2 years or so, got out in order to help the FBI Cyber Crime dept. Now I think he does Cyber crime consulting and runs a VC firm. Last I heard, he was worth about $128M.
I participated in the 2003 Gumball. It was a blast. The movie, although somewhat entertaining, sucked as far as representing what it was really like. David Green organizes the Bullrun. Helluva nice guy. I've never done it. Pretty cool that Larry Ellison did it in a fighter jet though!
