    Andreas,
SPEED mentioned that there will be reruns throughout the weekend but the next one is set for tonight at 7:30pm Eastern. I did not record the show but I definitely will tonight.

    Hope that helps,
    Gregg

Great content but not a lot of it. Seemed like they went to 5 mins of commercials every 3 mins.

One tidbit I learned was the Shelby & Goodyear Tire back-story.

    Just came across this: http://www.allamericanracers.com/gurney_grand-prix/eagle_f1-story.html

Regardless of the media type the point is getting a program recorded and since I started recording F1 races in the early '80s the VHS has never let me down and I have about 100 tapes to prove it, lol.

Anywho back to AAR I got all mixed up watching another show and decided to wait for the next airing. IMHO I think this documentary of DG and AAR should be extended to cover all of the AAR triumphs. I was drooling over the GTP car behind Dan because I remember watching, yet unfortunately not recording, those couple of years when it dominated.

I should really spend more money buying racing video's than at the 24HR News Stand!!

I will never forget the day when Dan spent some time telling a 15 year old kid how he got started in racing.

Here's the results from that day. I was there with my neighbor, what was an advertising guy, and Amalie PRO Racing Oil was his client. Fred Van Buren the 4th was driving their main sponsor car that day.

On my first big trip to the US a friend took me to some racing guy's shop. The driver was a tall guy telling me about his career in the US. I listened but had no idea who that man was. At least I was smart enough to get his autograph. Just in case...

Only later did I realize that I just met Dan Gurney.
