which I haven't owned for 25 years! I asked the caller where he had found my name and he said it was from an old MIE roster from the 80s. He asked about any interesting cars that i own and wanted to sell. I wonder if he was interested in the car for himself or he was trying to speculate to make profit on a barn find. I wonder where that car is today- it was am115-218 1967 coupe. Damn i wish i hadn't sold it!
You still have the same phone number? I still have have all those directories. I still use them when I'm trying to figure out things some times. MIE doesn't do anything like that anymore. In some ways that's a shame. But I understand. Those were very different times. At that time this was how we networked with each other to support our cars. Quite a number of us still do. It was a great resource and I me a lot of very nice people that way. You can exchange phenomenally more information now. But many times there are no phone calls involved. That's kind of a shame.
