    Wow! I was in Poland in 1988. There was no McDonalds, or hamburgers. There were no super-markets. You bought your meats at the local butcher's market, your bread at the local bakery, etc. If you had a television, you could receive 4 channels. There wasn't cable. I can't imagine his reaction to finding out about all the change. Oh yeah... plus the fall of the communist party.;)

    That would kind of suck though - imagine you go into a coma when you are 25yrs old... you wake up a young man, but your wife is now 60! You're 25 - you wanna go celebrate and party it up, but all your friends are old people now.
