Hi guys! I am a Jersey boy at heart and I know NOTHING about the NYC subway system. Can someone please tell me the best way to get to Wall St from NJ via train? I have an apt on Wed @ 10am and I'd usually drive in but I will be w/o a car Wed and Thur. I usually take the train from Ramsey to Penn Station. Where to go from there?

NJ transit to Penn Station, then the 2/3 (red line) from Penn downtown to Wall Street. Easy as pie.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. When they say 2/3 it's either the 2 OR the 3?

Yes, either one of the 2 or 3 trains (red-number color scheme, sometimes referred to as the "7th avenue" line) will get you to Wall Street. Once the trains go into the other boroughs (outside of Manhattan), that's where you have to take into consideration as to whether it's the 2 or the 3 that you're on. Within the confines of where you will be, the 2 and 3 will make identical stops.

    Here's a good website.
    www.hopstop.com

Sort of like a mapquest for people who take the public transportation.
