Feeling a bit mischievous, I tried to add a request for pictures as well... however, it seems the seller has now disabled questions!

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Have you heard the motor, it sounds horrific, apparently on the "racing" version you can't fit a muffler, something to do with politics as they were winning "everything"

I just requested photos of the car from all exterior angles, the interior, and the engine bay. I'll post any response I receive.

seller sounds like kind of an ass, it's an "online" auction site guy, but doesn't want to post better photographs for initial evaluation by any potential buyer?
still, it's a nice car from what he says, but if i were serious i'd want more before traveling any distance to see it

If we are talking an Alfa Romeo GTV then I simpathise with the seller. To try and take photos of rust on one of these (I own one) would require potentially thousands of photos ... better to go and look at the car yourself.

Poor thing sounds like it is running on 2 cylinders.

Didn't read too carefully, but why is it on Dutch plates?

"The GTV junior was a 1967 but I have never seen a 67 for sale in the USA. It cost $13000 new in Italy at the time."

13k$ for a GTV in 1967 when a new Rolls Silver Shadow cost a mere 10k in 1970?

Why does a car imported form CDN to the US carry a Dutch historic number plate?

I wanted to add some questions as well:

    Dear y2khomes,

Hi, why should Mohamed Ali give a dutch registered car to Liza Minelli? You're joking, aren't you? "factory race spec pipes"??? You're still joking. "a muffler can not be added??? This is a bog standard Bertone Coupe, of which they have produced hundreds of thousands. You can even see that on this one lousy picture. ( The race spec car would be a GTA). Mufflers can be bought for a couple of hundred $. Wish you luck and a happy bidder!

And that's the answer I got

Everyone in entitles to draw their own conclusions based on facts that come from observations. You are not entitled to your own facts. At auctions when the blue books were consulted they show 13,000 of this car year made, and most all are still in Italy, as there were very few imported.
Secondly a GTA is the all aluninum body which was never sold by Alfa Romeo, at the
time closely associated with Ferrari. The GTA was a factory race team car, and the race team was sponsered by Ferrari / Alfa and not fanchised.
As far as mufflers go - when I drive it into any franchised muffler chain they tell me that their rules and inventory do not allow them to add a muffler due to the restricted space under the car. Addint one in the engine compartment very near the manifold is not something that they will do, but I have seen this done in a few pictures on eBay.
I was not aware that it could be done that way. Anyway, the engine is designed so that the head gaskets are safer without any muffler. Im just trying to avoid costly mistakes - if you buy the car and that's what you want - you have a perfect right to add this modification - but you do not have rights to proclaim that the enigneers at Alfa and the other owners of their cars who try to keep it as designed are all full of bizzare and strange miscalculations. Could it be it is you?
Therefore the whole history is just going to make this a work of art to tell you off.
What do you think will happen when you send a harassing email to a seller?
You get reported, and corrected by the seller and owner.
Please shut up if you really at that stupid.

I think it is a con. Nobody would own an Alfa Romeo and have this much incorrect information. It is a 1750 GTV. I own one and plenty a of room for mufflers and the 105 series was sold in America from around '65.

Plus the GTA had nothing to do with Ferrari, nothing!
