Great looking bike it is the ONLY Harley I have even a little bit of desire for. I have heard the market for these is not as strong as the "Traditional" Hogs. What have you run across trying to value the bike? I am wondering for a couple of reasons but i have a friend who is looking for something like that.
I was one of those crazies who paid over list to have the priveledge of having the bike the first summer it came out, they started delivering in Jan 02, I had mine in april, and had an unbeleivable summer...it was all worth it, after I got it I got on a chrome kick and disassembled everything I could and sent it out to browns in kentucky for dark chroming. Any way I've got @ 35 g's in it including on board compressor mounted air shocks.I am listening to Offers, and yes the market softened quite a bit.
I took delivery of mine in Dec 2001 and kept it for a year. I took a BATH on the selling price. They are pretty soft now. Adam
I have had quite a few inquiries on this Bike as to price Let me list a few of the more expensive modifications the bike has had and then the asking price. 1. Superbrace front fork brace. 5. Corbin 2 pc leather saddle and backrest. 6. Assorted HD chrome accesories on Handlebar hardware. 7. Upgraded ECU and K and N air filter 8. LED custom superbright tail Lens. 9. Custom installed MOTO light pair of spotlights on front headlight mounts. 10.Rizoma Front fork lower leg polished covers. 11.HD. mini and Mid size fairing wind screens included. 12.all Chrome Nut and cap covers made and available by HD. 13.all chrome factory belt gaurds and key ign. covers by HD. 14.Kuryakyn custom surgical Rubber handgrips and Brake/clutch levers. 15.Chrome fwd controls, shift/ brake,pegs. 16. New Dunlops installed/ New Metzlers 200 mm included. 17. Many more smaller items. The V Rod is a 2002 model , oil has been changed every 500 to 700 miles since new. Current mileage is 2950 miles.The Bike appears as if it is ready to show, and has always been kept that way. The Current asking price is.... $26000.00
Can you list the cost of the larger items you had done? To be fair I have found low mileage 03 anniversary editions for 15,500 so basically your mods would be costing me 10k. I love the look but am wondering what the actual cost was. Thanks
Legend air shocks, $2500. installed Chrome plating/parts $ 4000. plus Supertrapp $900.00 installed Brakes and rotors $2500. installed Seat/pegs/controls $1500.00 and so on.!
