had my 360 2 weeks now all seems fine (see 1 previous post for details)after 300 miles

bought the car private from a guy who had it 7 months and 800 miles he purchased it from "nick cartwright" in dec 04. are cars from him generally ok?

only 2 faults had a small water (not mechanical) leak seems to be from passenger side door seal (left car in rain other night ) and heater seem not to give out much heat. are these common problems.

also may need new tyres in few months what do we reccommend for road use and aprox what cost?

after owning aprox 14 911;s this car is fab and after my initial apprehension at purchasing a "ferrari" everything seems to be fine so far, should have done it years ago!

i have a 911 c4s on order from main dealer for dec/jan delivery still gunna take car and use it as a everyday transport,

so looks like so far so good

so my advice to anyone thinkin bout buying a F car its do it if u can afford it!

    any comments guys

    thanks Tim

Glad your car is running great. And Nick is a good ok guy, but when any dealer gets a car he does not start taking the apart looking to fix any problems that may not be visable, this is were a very good waranty comes in to play. You can buy a car from a big ferrari dealer complete with tea and cake, but that does not make it better car than from a private seller down the road who still has FSH.It has to be about the car and not how nice the dealer is;) Only again this week on F.Chat theres another story of a guy who bought his car from a dealer only for the car to break down a few hours later. Its all a gamble mate, so if alls well fingers crossed and enjoy:)

Never dealt with him but I have met him and he seems to be a good guy

I never saw those faults on mine. The first could be a knackered door seal. Don't know about the second. If the car has a main dealer service history, then you could enquire about a Ferrari approved warranty if you want to hedge. An alternative is to take the car to an independent like Verdi in Middlesex, who offer their own warranty. You don't say where in the country you are so I don't know which would be most convenient. I use Verdi a lot- they're bloody good. To get a sense of what might be needed, ring around a few service departments- they're usually happy to advise you.

Haven't kept abreast of this. I had Pirellis on mine, but wouldn't particularly recommend them. Probably best to do a search using '360' and 'tyres' / 'tires'.

    Glad everything's working out!
