    took the f40 out for the first drive of the year, and needed to put some air in the tires, so went to my local gas station and proceeded to fill them.
    a young man in an alfa rolls past me and takes a picture - normal. then he stops and asks me what kind of car and model it is !!

    ok, so you like cars, enough to take pics and ask the owner a question, but you dont know a ferrari f40??? how does that happen? i mean its not like it isnt written on the car?

    oh well. at least he was polite.

    It's just a city car like the A1. I'd be suprised if was driving a proper Alfa, but this is just a volume model driven by hip city folks...

    Not everyone is a car nut enough to know brands, models, specs, etc. It looks very exotic so there's the picture taking explanation.

    I don't know why people are shocked when most people don't know what is to most people obscure car trivia.
