hmmm... shows a dead link to me... " Sorry We couldn’t find that page Go to Home page". I'm in the US and it's showing Hagerty UK, so maybe it's continent specific?

Hi there, that's me writing for Hagerty. I've posted on the Mondial threads a couple of times so far, and have found a lot of useful knowledge, so thanks all. I'll try and be a bit more active in future!
Hagerty actually sat on the article for quite a few months, I've had the car a year now so the updates are all going to be retrospective. Got all the niggles sorted by about April and ended up doing about 2000 miles in total over the year. Now the drivers door window and central locking have stopped working, and it's leaking coolant again, although this time I can see where it's coming from (one of the connecting hoses under the air intake duct). I've loosened and retightened it, so let's see if that works.

Hi Adrian, great article(s) and well written. Envious that you guys have so many of the Mondial Coupe' across the pond. Majority of the Quattrovalvole & 3.2's are cabriolets here in the states.

The first Ferrari I ever drove was a '85 red/tan coupe. Love the Mondial. Hope to own one some day.

The first Ferrari I ever sat in was a Mondial t cab, sitting in a dealer's showroom. First Ferrari I got a ride in was an 86 3.2 coupe, about 25 years ago. I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by it. Like a 308/328 with the same power, but "roomy" by comparison!
Quite right—the coupes are very rare here, indeed! When I was in the market, I found mine right here on Fchat. It was a "being in the right place at the right time" kind of thing. And just like Adrian has experienced, mine had some issues upon arrival including a coolant leak of unknown origin!
Not sure about QV production, but only 87 of the 3.2's and 43 or so of the "t" coupes crossed the Atlantic in North American spec.
Not easy to find, but they are out there, including some Euro-spec coupes. Just be ready when one turns up for sale. Good luck in your search!!

I have an 83 QV coupe here in the states and I don’t regret it one bit. I love the car and it fun to drive. I believe in 83 there were only 57 coupe imported to the US and even less cabs. And non in 1984. I was lucky to find mine on Facebook market place.

    HI Adrian,
I really love your articles, they are great, keep up the great work. One other thing that I love is the Mondial community. I am biased when I say, it's the best group of blokes on Fchat.

the door locks and central locking could be bad contacts, fuses, or blown relays. All relatively easy to fix. Make sure you check them out. Glad to hear you got the coolant hose sorted!

    Welcome to the community!

    :)

Also, Adrian, check out my repository of pretty much every press article on the Mondial at

P.S. This example has always been my favorite modification of the QV coupe. Body-colored bumpers and 348 wheels. I always thought this looked like it just came out the gates of Maranello today.
