Hair’ and ‘Everwood’ actor Treat Williams dead at 71 after motorcycle accident

Left turns are bad news for everyone... both the person making the turn and the person coming the other way.

 

I will admit, the one thing that really does spook me is a car facing me with a left turn signal on.
My other half asked me about this over breakfast. I told her "You see all those headlights on the front of my Harley? Thats why I ride with them all on".

I looked up where it happened. Looks like a nice semi country/rural road. Nice riding area it seems.

 

I had a motorcycle accident in Vermont too. I was only 14 at the time, and it was also the last time I rode a motorcycle. I like to be surrounded by steel in a world trying to kill me.

 

I ride cautiously and carry a gun. Its been working so far.

 

I hope that line doesn't fall in the "Famous Last Words" category...

 

I have been riding for 52 years. If I am killed tomorrow I'll have a smile on my lips. Its been a great ride.

There are no Mulligans. Better do life right the first time.

 

Still have many bikes.....but I don't ride since my son was born.

Definitely sad, I never met him but know a lot of people who did and never heard a bad word about him truly a down to earth, nice guy by all accounts.
The road the accident happened on, route 30, is a two lane road but the area the accident happened in is a high traffic area. From the police report it sounds like he never had a chance the element just pulled right out in front of him.
