My favorite Horror movie of all time is Halloween. I didn't know about the remake until I saw the trailer a few months ago. I saw the movie tonight. I keep seeing all these bad reviews for it... but I must say I thought it was amazing. I'm good at reading a horror movie, as in when something is about to happen.. so I don't jump easily. I didn't really jump in this movie but I sure as hell would have if I didn't know how to read what was about to happen.

Anyway, It was freaking awesome. It's not a gore fest like Hostel or Saw, but I loved the fact that they go into so much more character development into why Michael became the way he did. They show his background, him as a kid and put a somewhat human side to an otherwise horrible killer.

I definitely recommend it if you are into horror films. I think that it may actually be better than the original, and that is saying a lot.

There aren't any original horror movies being made anymore. They are all gore, granted I see them. And although this isn't original since it is based on another movie, Rob Zombie took it to a different level by giving you a history you never knew about.
