Has anyone else tried the beta version of Halo Reach? If so what do you think? I really like it but wish to know one thing. How the heck do you use the jetpack?

For the jet pack, just hold the left bumper.

I like the game. They have some bugs to work out though (grenades WAY too powerful, shotgun too powerful, beatdowns need to have a clear winner). But hey, that's what betas are for!

Im not a big fan of halo, dont know why.

    I beat 1 2 and 3, then stopped playing.

Post up impressions if you can, interested if I should buy the new game.

I played it again and the game put me in the same map :\

The jet packs are cool! I'm Boba Fett(original trilogy b4 GL ruined him) haha.

I liked the Predator mode too, how it goes all silent while you are running about. Needing to pickup weapons is annoying! It's suppose to be a fast action game but then it forces you to pick a weapon up(I guess I'm used to Quake style).

Haven't played it with anyone to really get a hold of it just some Free for all.

I didn't enjoy it all all.

I played a LOT of halo 2 and 3 (total playtime easilly measuring in weeks for each). I have a solid group of guys that I play with, we know each others styles and we play off each other well.

Reach was frustrating at best and infuriating at worst for me. The focus has moved from "skilled run and gun" to using the invis and invincibility loadouts ALL THE TIME. I found nothing more frustrating than running down a hallway and having an invisible guy camping and kill me instantly. And EVEN when you're on the ball looking for him he has too much of an advantage. The powerups in Halo 3 all had weaknesses you could exploit, they gave you an edge rather than an outright advantage...

This is the first game that I'm seriously leaning towards not buying. Hopefully they sort it out before the release... :(

I agree with invisibility....it needs to have it's disadvantages. Example: the sword needs to remain lit....running around with an invisible sword is sooooo dick.
