So when I decided to buy a 430 coupe over a spider I managed to save a good portion of money. I opted for the spider because even though I love having to top down I feel I fit more soundly in a coupe and I like the driving experience. That brings me to my next point, I would love to go with the Hamann High Performance Brake system which would run me around $22 000 installed which I was quoted. Keep in mind I live in Canada and I am speaking with regards to my currency. The other system I was quoted on was the Novitec High performance system which is about $4000 cheaper. Does anyone here have experience with either system? Its hard to choose between them because I can only compare my 430 to my RS4 which has a brembo system on it.

I believe both brake systems are the same. Both are made by Brembo. 380mm steel rotors with 6 Piston calipers. Instead of either of those systems, you can just but the Brembo Kit and get the Ferrari lettering done on it and it will only cost you $10.5K USD.
Unless you are referring to the Carbo ceramics.

WHY BOTHER! Are you tracking the car SO MUCH and are you such a stud driver that you are actually RUNNING OUT OF BRAKES! Unless you are a pro racer I SERIOUSLY DOUBT you would benefit in any REAL way from a brake upgrade on a 430 or probably ANY Ferrari from the last 15ish years... My 928S4 was built in '88 and I have 10,000 track miles on the car and have NEVER run out of brakes on that car and it does not even come close to the brake technology of today (though it was state of the art for its time). $18k - $22k is a serious waste of money on something you will likely never even benefit from. Now if you are just swimming in money and can't think of anything better to do with it and you like the look of bigger badder brakes then knock yourself out... I just don't see the point of it personally. For that kind of money you actually could buy a VERY, VERY nice 928 S4 and then have a car with really good brakes to boot! LOL! That last bit was a joke in case anyone missed that...though it is NO JOKE that you can buy a VERY, VERY good S4 for that kind of money.

BTW, wouldn't if have been cheaper to find a used 430 Coupe that either had the CCB's on it already from the factory and/or an upgrade kit installed vs. retrofitting this at full retail cost?

I researched upgrading brakes for my 360. The brembo kit was the high end for me, and I just couldn't justify it, and there is a thin selection of track pads for that kit. Martin @ Girodisc suggested an upgrade using AP calipers, and his rotors, at a much more reasonable cost. I was planning to do the fronts only.

The 360 brakes are weak for hard track use, but if you're only street driving the car, I think you'll be disappointed. I upgraded the brakes in my porsche which made a big difference in terms of fade on the track, but didn't really change the feel that much for street use. They looked really cool though!

But Brembo Gran Turismo front and rear 6 pist monoblock with Vivid Racing ask for Rob.
OEM 430 calipers and discs are ridiculous for this level of car...

I do want to spend quite a bit of time on the track. When I went from stock to upgraded brakes on my RS4 I was really satisifed. Yes you are correct that the standard brakes on the 430 or any new gen car alike are more than enough for the everyday driver, I want to upgrade them not for the look but for the performance. I wasn't trying to push anyone's buttons here, just looking for some input. I am a new Ferrari owner, and I couldn't be happier, I find myself jumping out of bed in the middle of the night to go take a peak at the beauty laying in my garage.

brakes on the 360 are absolutely crap unless mine have a prob but at high speeds on the street i feel like it never is going to stop! do you guys get the same feeling. The 430 on the other hand came with ceramics as standard on mine and they feel great! I reckon dont bother wasting your money... 10K + aint worth it. buy a cheap run around car for that much, damn buy your girl a 1.3ct diamond ring. LOL or just send the money to me ill make good use of it ;)

My 430 has the standard iron rotors. I only street drive the car, but I think they're quite powerful. Unless you're a very fast/aggressive track driver, I'd think the stock iron brakes with the proper track pads and brake fluid would resist fade pretty well. If it's only brake performance you're after and not looks, I'd at least try pads/fluid before you buy an expensive new brake system.
