Apparently LH was exiting the pits just as KR was on his final flying lap, causing KR to go wide thus qualifying third. Possibly those few seconds would have put KR on the front row?

The McLaren team knew where KR was as they even informed LH. So why didn't they delay him just a few seconds?

Because they are dirty cheaters, Hamilton knew that Kimi was on a flying lap and should have avoided him. Michael Schumacher was sent to the back of the grid in Monaco, SEND HAMILTON THERE TOO

How about FA "blocking" Massa on qualifying before (5 spot penalty I believe), other similar incidents?

The wet tire thing was stupid, but rules are rules. The problem becomes the subjective interpretation of the stewards each time for similar incidents.

    The fix is in....:(

I hope Kimi gets the inside line on T1 behind Massa and FA follows as LH has to go wide to protect himself. Then we will have a race!

Lewis probably wont be too keen to fight with anyone. He doesn't need to beat Kimi and would be smart to just let him go at the start.

I can't help but feel how biased the whole sport is and how the FIA too often gets involved in the Championship. Last year there was that absurd penalty on Alonso for blocking Massa and yet now there's nothing when I thought it was more of a hindrance.

Because Hamilton left the pits with 1:38 left in the session. A few seconds could of cost his him flying lap time.

I'm sure Kimi would be on the front row if LH would of gotten out of his way earlier.

McLunk has been sending their cars out to "warm up" in front of Kimi's hot laps all year.

What do you think that "count-down" timing at Hungary was all about?

(The issue was the extra time that Alonso sat *after* the "go" signal, while he was "asking if they put tires" on his car. ;))

On other laps, you saw Alonso weaving like mad to "warm his tires" just as Kimi was coming by.

For some reason, the FIA TV never showed the actual passes -- but you could see it coming, and see the times afterwards.

FIA will not investigate this incident as Ferrari has refused to file a complaint. End of story.

Did you notice LH patting KR on the shoulder in the news conference behind FM and KR sort of shrugging it off as in "don't worry about it"? It didn't seem like KR was too worried.

Kimi is on the clean side of the track. He could easily pass Hamilton at the start and then Massa picks up a "vibration" and he passes him as well. Ferrari 1-2 so no harm done :)

Only problem is, Hamilton would somehow have to finish 6th...

Now way Hamilton cost him seconds, a few tenths and a few rpms at the end of the straight yeah. Sure it may have been the difference but traffic is part of the qualifying gamble.

OK, should have said milli-seconds, still enough to have made a difference. Teams try to time their driver's qualifying run depending on traffic. The unforeseen, especially in this case, should not have taken place.

Too bad nothing is being done about it. The block was likely intentional.
But the pat on the back was after this:

and give up his multi-million dollar a year job? I don't think so....and if he had that attitude, no one else would want him after he was fired by Ron "the scumbag" Dennis...plus, Bernie and LHs dad would tell LH to shut up...

I would rethink that statement. I think it's safe to say that teams like Toyota, Williams, hell most of the teams on the grid would go after him. Nobody likes Alonso's attitude, couple that with the fact he's been beaten by a rookie, but everyone still wants him don't they? For the exception of maybe Ferrari, the teams who have a realistic shot of getting him (money) would make offers, just as Toyota has.
