Now that he is out of a drive for next year, Todt should go after Hamilton and put him into Massa's seat for 08.

Most of the major news sites aren't reporting it at all.

Massa and Hamilton now that would be the dream team (just to counter Tifosi12's constant push for Kimi)

Hamilton is a Mclaren groomed fanboi, I can't see him ever leaving the team unless the team ceased to exist.

Why would any of you want Hamilton to drive for Ferrari? Read/listen to his interviews and post race press conferences, he is easily the most arrogant and classless driver in F1...I would hate to have to see him in a Ferrari. I'd rather watch Alonso in one of the red cars...

Ferrari would be reckless and plainly stupid to replace either of its drivers with the immaturity of Hamilton.

I think it all depends on the contract Hamilton had with Ron Dennis/McLaren. If there is a get out clause, there are IMHO only 2 scenarios that are realistic: He'll end up at Prodrive or at Ferrari.

Ferrari wants Hamilton. This is their chance.

It's also really early to be talking about driver changes, especially at Ferrari.

So, now that McL's reputation has been soiled, can Alonso terminate his contract?

I think that is a given now.

I wonder how fast Renault can turn around with him as their new driver. Will they be competitive for the 08 title yet or not?

I can't take the fake humility, the obvious arrogance and the fact that he has been pampered his whole life. If he moves to Ferrari, I will pull for Kubica.

Ferrari has two of the best drivers in the sport; they don't need Hamilton. This is just speculation, but if it was clear that Ferrari performance data was exchanged on paper earlier this year, would it be a stretch that this was not the first exchange (electronic, verbal, or otherwise?) and that McLaren has had the benefit of this data for much longer than is currently thought? How could McLaren perform so well, out of the box, their first year on Bridgestones if they hadn't had help? If this was true, Hamilton is not the miracle some people think he is. His next drive will be more interesting than his time with McLaren.

Hamilton is the miracle many people think he is because he is beating the reigning two times world champion. Nothing has changed that comparison.

Yeah well he couldn't possibly do any worse than Massa did in 2006, could he?

Hamilton is great, possibly one of the greatest all time. Massa isn't, he was never intended to stay at Ferrari for more than 1 season. Ferrari should grab Hamilton while/if they can or else someone else will.

I hope I never see Hammi in a red car. He's a great driver, but I'd rather see red cars making him look bad :D I'm a big supporter of beating the competition, not befriending them.

I still don't think it's anywhere near time to be saying possibley one of the greatest of all time. It's his first season, he still hasn't won a WDC yet and he's been in a phenominal car (that was made better with Ferrari's technology). IMO, he has a lot of proving to do before I even think about catagorizing him with some of the greatest of all times.

Hamilton has been brought up through the ranks by Ronnie. There's too much history there, too much dedication. Hamilton will stand by MCMerc through all of this - still has the fastest/most reliable car on the circuit, and has proven to himself (and the world) that he can/will beat FA in the WDC in a McLaren.

Alonso would be a nice pairing with Felipe, I think. Kimi is good, but is better in a McLaren. IMO Alonso should head back to Renault.

No No No I don't want Lewis at Ferrari, he's a rookie and needs to prove himself in a Spyker or Super Aguri first.
