Of course he will say this. It;s his name/market value. Imagine if he says otherwise. It's downgrading himself.
Don't bother with him. Rosberg never drove against Schumacher in his prime. Rosberg drove against Lewis in his prime (both Rosberg and Lewis where in their primes). Schumachers' results where underwhelming, he showed flashes of brilliance here and there still. He was also desperately unlucky in certain cases that really affected his overall standings. For a retired bloke to be beaten by a guy that beat the supposed goat...well. 2012 really was an unlucky year for Michael. He had big reliability issues in the first half of the season. He matched Rosberg in quali (10 each). After Canada (and reliability issues fixed) he outscored Rosberg comprehensively (47 to 23 respectively). Schumacher in the first 7 rounds had 5 retirements, 4 mechanical (and another one in quali but not counted here) vs Rosberg zero. This is not quite the "Gotcha" moment KTU thinks it is.
So when Barrichello said Micheal is a great you think its to protect his name market value? So he can say I got beat buy the greatest?
Ahhhh so we gonna include Dnfs and mechanicals? In that case Hamilton has 9 championships and Rosberg never beat him. See thats the thing with fake Schumacher fans. They make excuses for him. Rosberg beat him 3 years straight. Micheal is still great. You don't have to make excuses, be a real fan.
Nico Rosberg is a better driver than Schumacher. The thousands of connoisseurs of this sport know it well! It is also said that the earth is flat..
Are you really comparing a 42-year old driver, who came out of retirement after 3 years, with an young driver who was GP2 champion?
Yes. They say he was miles ahead of other drivers remember? That he can win in a crap car with no engine remember? Alonso is leading Ocon in points after retirement.

No BS. And that series really is manufactured. How many radios have they been playing either out of context or from different races if not seasons?
