Yes, for the timing in sending him on the track, I suppose.

I didn't see that, either, but it's no surprise.

Who should he blame? Or did he just get THAT slow overnight?

You guys complain when drivers give canned “we’re just going to work harder” bs answers and you complain when a driver tells the truth…

We're talking about a 7x WDC title holder and not just other drivers.

Russell has more awareness of his car than Lewis has......whether it's his tire strat or his steering on his car.

Max should stop sucking also, in your world, right?
    Maybe M-B should stop sucking

Ah, so 7 time WDC’s should only do the “we’re going try harder” answer?
    Never happy, are you…

One would expect more from a 7x WDC title holder IMO.

Well, this not a susprise to me, Elton was never good driving a (not top) car. He always had very competitive cars, and when they were not top notch, he never look outstanding. Princess George is no Kovalainen , nor Bottas, so it's no wonder he is giving Elton a hard time...

    No.
You and your little posse of Lewis detractors refuse to be happy or satisfied with ANYTHING the guys does. One would think (hope) you could find better things to do then rant endlessly about a guy who's achieved a lot.

No, so for the past 2 years Lewis hasn't had a dominant car and his team-mate has beaten him in points(2022) and in qualifying(2023) and is slowly creeping up to Lewis in points for 2023.

Alonso has more intensity and fervor then Lewis currently. Alonso doesn't quit no matter what machinery he has.

    George has 7 WDC's?
    George has won 103 GP's?

What all you guys miss is that older drivers (like Lewis) have VERY specific qualities and characteristics they want from a car (Lewis has said this numerous times but you guys just call it "whining"). Clearly, the current M-B doesn't suit Lewis. George, on the other hand, is young and pliable, as most younger people are...
It blows my mind that none of you guys understand this. But, as bench racers, I shouldn't be surprised.

PS. It amazes me that Fernando Alonso is now held up as everything that is great about an F1 driver and team mate.
Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees...

That's exactly my point. No one on the grid has 7 WDC titles and Lewis isn't acting or performing now like he has 7 WDC titles given the machinery he has had in the last 2 years AND beating his team-mate.

Lewis is definitely one of the best of his generation. Always the best car but usually winning with it. I think his time as the number one driver is over and even his teammate George is starting to show signs of dominance over Lewis. I think he may have one more season in him after this year.

Having said that, Alonso didn't accomplish miracles either when he had a car that wasn't performing so well.
During his McLaren and Renault periods, we didn't see heroic drives from him, did we? He soon gave up, literally.
This year Alonso is in fighting form because the Aston Martin is a better car, hence better performances from him
I think motivation and results come with a better car; Hamilton is no different from other drivers in that respect.
Kimi and Vettel come to mind. All these drivers knew how to win, given the right equipment.
Let's not forget that Russell is more hungry for success, and still has everything to prove, whilst Hamilton hasn't.

Alonso beat his team-mates during the Mclaren and Renault years for like-for-like DNF's.

I know Alonso is toxic for teams due to his bad luck with teams but his drive in so-so machinery is better than his team-mates.

Agree, but still his skill couldn't compensate for inferior car, could it?

Alonso is enjoying an Indian Summer now, simply because the Aston surprinsingly turned out to be rather good this year.
