    Indeed they do...as do yours.
Of course, you and your minions are the ones that continually demean Lewis, not me. Welcome to 2023, I suppose. Everyone's a critic/know it all/genius when behind the keyboard. I wonder how you guys would act if you actually MET Hamilton???

A blunt admission and honest I think............

    https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/hamilton-impeding-made-no-difference-in-too-slow-dutch-gp-f1-qualifying/10511983/

--The seven-time world champion was caught out by several drivers blocking him on his flying laps, first by both Aston Martins in Q1 and then by AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda in Q2.

But afterwards, Hamilton conceded that his Mercedes was just too slow regardless of traffic, missing the cut to Logan Sargeant's Williams in 10th by a mere 0.084s.

"It didn't make any difference," Hamilton replied when his moment with Tsunoda had cost him a spot in Q3.

"A few of the others got in the way on the previous laps. Tsunoda was in the way a little bit, but it didn't lose me time. I was just slow today."--

I could see that. He probably still presents that way if you were to catch him by yourself on the street. It’s all of the other crap that he puts on display that’s tiresome, not to mention some of his obnoxious fans.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, say you likely met the real Lewis Hamilton, and think that much of it is a contrived act and attention-whoring out of insecurity. In that light, he’s actually more endearing as a flawed and somewhat tragic figure.

Lewis ALMOST talked the team game, but he couldn't hold back.

"as a team we made the wrong decision"

moments later. "ultimately it was the team's call"

"if we made the right call, I had the pace to be top 2"

So...everyone hates it when drivers tow the company line..."they're just robots reading a script"
And then Hamilton tells the truth (as did Toto) and everyone hates THAT.

You boys need to make up your mind what you want.
Please note Hamilton using the word "we" rather than the word "they"

Because Hamilton always has to play victim and appoint blame. He just couldn't be part of the "we", he just had to say the team specifically screwed up, and he specifically had to make a point that HE could be challenging for top 2 if it wasn't for his team's mistakes.

He does this every time. And if he gets success, we know the other side if his 2 track mind. "everyone in the team and back at the factory".

Isn't Hamilton part of the "team"?

You guys literally see the Hamilton boogie man behind every tree. It's comical.

And the bigger question is: Did the pit make a mistake? Toto said they did. But what does he know...right?

PS. Cue the "Toto taking up for Lewis" comments.

Mercedes did make a mistake, on both Lewis and Russell. Other teams made the same call, not just Mercedes. But Lewis made a point to blame his team and make sure we knew it wasn't HIS fault. Okay, we get it. How hard is it to say "we made the wrong call. If we pitted on lap one, I think we had the speed to be in the top 2"?

Ferrari has failed Leclerc miserably many times, you don't hear him saying "it was the teams fault" over and over again. Even though we all know it, and would even understand him raging on his team. I think every driver, including Hamilton get a free pass time to time for calling out their team for a mistake, as the team should be accountable as well. Though it's important that a driver loses with the team and recognizes the joint efforts regardless. Lewis choose to call out his team time and time again. In the media, not just over the radio.

Furthermore, have you ever heard Mercedes blame Lewis for his mistakes? I can't recall Toto saying they would have won if it wasn't for Lewis messing up. You don't hear it from Ferrari all the times Leclerc has binned it. Or any other team... except maybe Red Bull. They will point fingers at their drivers if the drivers make claims about the team.

These conversations should happen behind closed doors. That's how they can learn (unless you are Ferrari). For the most part I even think it's okay over the radio. In the media scrums, people have moments to reflect and consider their words.
