One thing not mentioned overtaking driver has responsibility to pass safely. Even if max looks he cannot see ham. Ham hit max in back wheel. Ham was no where close to maxs mirror where max then knows he is there and can give more space. Button was right ham was far from apex, target fixated on max hence collision. Penalty was too light. For the goat it should have been a race suspension. Ham is not crashdoor Maldonado. Ham had less to loose than max and took him out.

That’s your defense, dumbest thing I have ever heard. Your fine with Hamilton potentially hurting someone?

I had a concussion of way less than 51Gs about 10 years ago {I fainted and fell head backwards onto the seat of a picnic table}.
I was groggy and could quite literally not see with clarity for a round about a month--as if there were a veil in front of my eyes.

Prior to braking, Lewis front wheels were almost even with Max's front wheel. Max surely could have see it at that point.
Max braked later than Lewis an in effect caused a Brazil-Ocon all over again.
At this stage of his career, Max should know better.

But still, Lewis deserved the penalty.

I hope you show the same indignation every time Max bumps into someone.

From the perspective of slow cars like ours you might have an argument but still violate the cardinal rule overtaking car's responsible for doing it safely. That's way F1 comes down hard on wiggling in the braking zone. F1 cars are nothing like our cars. At 180mph into the corner that's 265ft/sec! These guys are racing for tenths of a sec which is 26ft in a tenth which is nearly 2 F1 car lengths. Sure they are the best racers in the world but, If max had a donut on his side pod that's a racing incident. Ham took off his back wheel. There is not excuse for that. Ham's move could have resulted in fatality.

Now I’m bias? How? Even Max is saying he deserves a bigger penalty.

That doesn't make any sense. When you're behind in the points you don't have "less to lose." It could easily have been a DNF for both, or for Hamilton only...

This would require Max to have no bias in the situation.
Something few F1 drivers (ever) could assert, and
Something Max will never be able to assert.

I don't have to agree with them, nor take their word as gospel.

    Everybody has an opinion.

For me it was a racing incident. The stewards gave a penalty and that's enough.

    +1

Slippery tactics once again from the Princess when he's on his back foot.

Gets away with light touch FIA penalty yet again.

It's so transparent why the FIA fear to penalise him properly

That's the only strength Hamilton needs. It gets the job done on every occasion, without fail.

Oh brother. The vitriol towards Hamilton is unreal. I can proudly state that I don't hate anyone- let alone an F1 driver.

Saying he has the FIA in his pocket is beyond delusional.

Well said. I hate none of the drivers they all have some talent and do surprise us all. We live this racing speed of life through them!!

Max and Baku lol. Team is delusional as well. He never gets held to account at all. He is the only person on the team that matters. They mis manage their driver program and finally hire a decent #2 to maybe challenge for both titles. Again how do Marko and Horner keep their jobs lol. Ricci knows the intimate truth about the toxic world that is RedBull management.

LH has zero to do with the FIA as well as Mercedes. That line is old here on this forum. ZERO proof. Id love to change my view and no one offers anything but emotion.

Amazing day it was. Surprising overall. I never imagined LH would win after the clash with Max. if it was Max winning after such clash, the gush of love and admiration here would re-float the Titanic. In my opinion Max tasted the Karma he fouled in Baku. Well deserved after ruining that race for Ricci and the team. He suffers now, today, with his poor headwork and emotion. Just like Vettel did at Ferrari tossing 2 titles.

He should be MUCH better than that now. P2 would have been well done damage control if he lets LH pass and does not regain the lead. He would still be in the lead in the title standing. He should learn from this rather than let mis placed stupid, bully anger ruin his good efforts so far.

He has done well- Max. Today - he failed on lap 1 to keep the greater strategic goal in play.

Ham gets deperado under pressure. You hear it during races whenever he is not leafing

Ham is the goat. That includes the goat on doing fringe things and getting away with it. Ham has spun charging redbulls 3 times so far. I bet it is war from here on out. Max isn't a push over. Next time either both will finish or neither will. It will be roseberg v. Ham all over again.

Lewis caused the collision, according to FIA Stewards.

Clearly they should've consulted you first :D
