Ironically, I happen to like @BOKE a lot. Bring a little more to the table and maybe you'd get a different outcome.

You chose a quote from Kobe's that indicates he thinks he's hated because he's great and that you agree. Then, you insulted me personally under the assumption that there is no other possible reason for me to disregard him and his baseless quote. I gave you a specific, different reason and you chose again to insult me personally. I kindly ask you not to continue to do that and maybe rethink your approach to people you disagree with.

You're getting out of this thread precisely what you put in. I don't understand people who choose to admire extremely flawed individuals because they happen to be good at a sport. Neither Kobe Bryant nor Lewis Hamilton deserve more respect, in my opinion. I've seen nothing in this thread that would even begin to change my mind. Deal with it.

Uhave brought 0 to this topic. And no I didn’t insult in anyway shape of form… [emoji1751]
Good for you to be liking BOKE, Xenafu or whatever his name is these days.
Zero insult at all. Don’t get things twisted and change facts.I express a personal opinion on what you appear to be: hateful and negative towards Hamilton. If that’s insulting to you whilst u called me Napoleon that’s pretty soft , right?
U do have a sense of humor as you a) pretend you asked to stop being insulted which you did not do or have been b)you pretend to have been respectful on this thread .
Check your posts on this thread. U brought no positive argument, just hate. I kindly ask you to bring arguments to a conversation not insults drivers left and right. Sorry you got your feelings hurt but again check your posts what did you bring on the topic? U discuss things outside racing .
Like u said u get out a thread what you put in…In your cas and imo nothing… and yes Lewis Hamilton deserves more respect as racing driver than you give him but he certainly doesn’t care.

There certainly is a lot of value in those things.

Ghetto? He's from ****ing Stevenage, not South Central. Again you're putting words in my mouth, saying that I think Dennis did it to look "anti racist". My God you really have no shame.

Hear him complaining Spa was a farce and fans should be refunded. Sure, the fans should get some compensation but had Lewie snatched pole and declared winner today, he'd be singing a different song... running around with his union jack and celebrating on the podium like it was his first win.

Hamilton voluntarily hangs out all his washing on the public line.

    He craves media attention.

He should've thought about that prior to becoming an attention seeking media whore.

Good driver in the greatest ever team there is no doubt.
    Rosberg too.

I’ve been reading this thread in totality and really don’t get the strong negative views some folk have. I just don’t see it. I’ve always liked the guy from the very start, even when he was a tiny kid with his go kart on Blue Peter he was the same, really.

Yes, maybe a touch arrogant (even when he was 8), but I think history shows that all big winners have that trait at least to some degree.

He speaks the truth, says it how it is and I see his assessment of situations is pretty much spot on. He’s not attention seeking but his position attracts the attention. Hardly can be blamed for that and all eyes on him. Must be awkward to know that whatever you say will be published so widely, so I think he deals with it well.

That tends to happen to most leaders in different categories: sports, politics, arts, show business, etc ...

The media made them stars, and solicite their opinions all the time.

He seeks attention with naked selfies on Instagram and much more.

Best to avoid which I certainly do :D

But you only know that if you follow him on Instagram !

People look for him, and then claim he seeks attention. What a joke !

I looked once. And that was quite enough thank you !

Hanging around with Reality TV stars and Justin Bieber doesn't count as attention seeking either ;)

If Hamilton wasn't at Mercedes he's be posting selfies while appearing on Love Island.

For me it's his near constant hypocrisy and backtracking. On the off-chance he does say something ''controversial'' and I agree with, you can practically guarantee that within 24 hours the Mercedes PR team will have turned the story round and Lewis making a statement of ''I actually meant...". He's trying very hard to be liked by all kinds, which means to my eyes he's very hollywood/manufactured.

Whether it's him moaning that his 5 lap old tyres are finished yet setting fastest laps, when he's about to be overtaken something on his car is inevitably "broken", or it's about him driving "only EV"s, preaching about living a vegan lifestyle but is then instantly spotted driving V12 supercars wearing boots made from dead baby cows...Come on guy, stop trying so ****ing hard and being so damn see-through constantly.

I'm a much bigger fan of non-hypocrites who do as they want, say what they want, and not out there to please every do-gooder on the planet. Even Vettel, who is actually doing all the do-gooder stuff, is constantly seen practicing what he preaches. I don't necessarily agree with all the things he says but it's commendable that he actually does something about it.

I can also see from the more casual viewers viewpoint that aren't as involved in F1 as many of us why they don't see the side that many of us see of him, so that works in favour for him and how he gets away with what he says all the time.

The fact that his fanbase insist that everyone must submit to calling him for his greatness or else you're a ''hater'' (or worse) is a huge source of more aggressive discussion about him.

Lewis has set-up a commission of his own to change F1.

Whether it has any influence....who knows.

I leave it at that due to P&R.

Yes, I believe his commission will end up with fewer tangible answers than expected but at least Hamilton can award himself another brownie point for making a public statement.

    Certainly a topic for P&R

Well I like Hamilton the driver but as a person, what Bas said makes sense.
He tries too hard. Does he want to be 2pac or an environmentalist ? If so he is full of conflict, u don’t drive a big v12 pagani if u ask ppl
    To
Save the planet and if u want to
Be 2pac your certainly do more for the community than he does… additionaly you don’t pretend to be street and hood when u are not really.
Good guy for sure, great accomplishments as well but lots of inconsistencies between what he preaches and what he does.

Ali was not really a false character though, that's what really rubs folk up the wrong way about Hamilton. Tbh a lot of it stems from his social media accounts which I'm sure he's not in full control of but also his demeanor in general.

Wasn't a large part of this because he evaded the draft?
