Did LH steer into the back of KR instead of hitting RK.?
He had no choice as Kimi was farther away. Its only natural to steer around the first car you are going to hit.
uh oh...someones gonna get yelled at by cranky Fchat members that haven't replayed the race on their TIVO's
First of all, this thread should have the "spoiler" status labelled on it. This was nothing but an accident. LH has the wall to his right, it is only natural for him to steer to the left when he noticed the two cars ahead of him has stopped. Kubica was lucky and Kimi was not, that's all.
Good--I'm sick of whiny-ass complainers who log on to FChat instead of watching their replays. It's one thing when the race is run at 6am locally. But for the Canadian GP it shouldn't be a factor to divulge results in the banners. As for Lewis Hamilton, it's probably a question we'll be asking for a long time. I'm sure in that split second of realization, a lot of thoughts flashed through his head. Two cars are stopped, Oh Crap! Red light! Avoid Avoid! Red Car...White Car...RED CAR! I don't know, I don't think he would do anything that deliberately. But a lot of others will definitely believe he made a choice...
Yeah only natural also for such a dumbass hot-head to crash into his rival(s) once the pressure is on. Kubica got real lucky, Good for him. Kimi got the **** of it, UGH!!! Did you guys see when Kimi pointed at the light and shook his head. And Lewis brushed him off like "No big deal." ARGH SO FRUSTRATED!!!! At least Kubica had a good race, some solace in that. edit: I'm not saying Lewis CHOSE to hit anyone. I don't think that at all. I think that his dumb ass just can't handle the pressure and wasn't paying attention at all. Its an incident, but its a STUPID one.
Well you definately saw what you wanted to there. I saw Kimi point to the light then pat Lewis on the back, Lewis then went on to pat Kimi and then shake his head in disbelief/disappointment.
Right because we've never seen anyone else make a dumb mistake before? You just taking this opportunity and running with it, jumping to conclusions. You're the type of guy politicians love.
I was definitely frustrated beyond belief when I watched him rocket into the back of Kimi. I can't say 100% that he picked Kimi's car on purpose but like Jack said it makes you wonder. Anyone know what kind of penalties he might face or is it one of those up to the stewards type things?
Lewis tends to count his chickens before they hatch. His quote after was along the lines of "too bad this happened, the rest of the race would have been a breeze for me". Sort of the attitude which let him lose a large points lead over his rivals last year.
kimi took it like a man after being ****ed over by a BOY. enjoy your stint on the sidelines, it's coming
regardless, i think the F1 Golden Boy should not escape penalty. being forced out the race is not enough for me. though running a red light constitutes an automatic black flag, Hamilton was wreckless during safety conditions.
I'v already watched the race so it doesn't matter to me about the spoiler, but do we really need a second thread on the subject. Not everything has to be its own thread. We have a thread about the race, why not comment in that one if you have something about the race to say or ask? Mark
Did that make Kimi an amatuer for running into Sutil? I just want to see if the judgements are consistent, or are they determined subjectively depending on whether or not you like the driver in question.
You're comparing apples to oranges here, Kimi lost traction on a wet race track and attempted to save the car and in a racing incident ran into Sutil. Lewis had a mental lapse that was solely his fault not because of conditions on the track or racing.
Very, very different scenario IMHO - Kimi was trying to save the car under racing conditions - This was under pit-lane speed control. And, you've got to admit, they are some big-ar$e red-lights right there...... The penalty (if any?) may be interesting. Cheers, Ian
