Most of you guys are missing the big picture. A penalty will be given to LH, and that will help Ferrari, BMW and their drivers.

I watched it again on DVR just now...even the broadcast team agreed that he went in too hot. That 'bump' excuse would have applied to everyone. It was there all through practice, qualifying, and every race lap.

My point about Senna, Scumi, et al is that even the best drivers in history make boneheaded mistakes. It's not to elevate LH to their level. Had I said "even Ricardo Zonta made mistakes like that" or "Antonio Pizzonia had a few lapses in judgement", it would have done nothing to prove my point.

Don't assume that I'm elevating the guy...just trying to say there are double-standards in people's arguments. Crucify LH for his error, but do the same with Kimi because he clearly had an awful race. It's when you try to make excuses for Kimi then demand for the immediate revocation of LH's Superliscense (purposely overstated) that I have issues with the arguments.

Good one.....All in all Lewis made a huge mistake and is not looking good because of it. IMHO he is not looking as good as a year ago. BTW WTF is his dad doing on the grid hanging around? Is his mom going to show up soon? :)

Oh trust me, I did not have anything kind to say about Kimi's performance in Monaco either. I just don't think that the two incidents could be compared side by side.
Ok I got to go to lunch now or my wife will cut my balls off.

I think he did, right after the accident. I'm certain LH wasn't too happy with Kimi's helping him to recognize the pit lane stoplight (thus, the brush off).

What exactly would Kimi do with it, given the bi curious suggestion?

I can't believe there's still people out there trying to protect Hamilton after that stupid mistake he made! Honestly I was hoping something like that happened to him. As I keep saying Hamilton is treated like a F1 World Champion but he is NOT! In my point of view, he should be treated just like Kubica, Massa, Heidfeld, etc. Alonso and Kimi are the ones to be treated like stars. After Hamilton wins his F1 Championship I will agree with whoever calls him a great driver.

I did think Raikkonens reaction was very cool and understated:

*tap tap* *point point* and walk away...

Fair enough. I don't think people are defending Hamilton's actions, I think that there is an undercurrent of 'Hamilton Hate' that seems to wait for such incidents. It's very similar to the 'Massa Malice' that surfaces whenever he makes an error. Those two are the most polarizing figures on F chat...everyone else is pretty much treated objectively. Thus, these types of threads usually follow any bad news on those two.

Well, maybe I SHOULD add Alonso since he is probably the most polarizing driver on F Chat...

Maybe this will finally wake up a dormant Kimi who has been thinking about retirement. Let's face it, he hasn't seemed very motivated and focused up until now. Maybe getting a surprise up the backside by Hamilton will finally get him more focused on retaining his championship.

I think Kimi was saying 'did you know there was a light at the end of pit row?'. It's kind of like the 'sorry you feel that way' response in its ability to zing the intended target.

Looked pretty on it to me this weekend. Outqualified Massa by 3 places, was putting pressure on Kubica looking for a pass in the coming laps, and at the time reeling off fast laps. Jumped the race leader in the pits and lined up to take the lead/P2 at most after the drag race with Kubica when Hamilton ruined it all. I think Kimi's gonna be on fire and out for blood in France. Can't wait.

No not really. Kimi got ahead of Lewis in the pits and he seemed to be stronger than Kubica on racepace.

I would actually make a wager on that. Leaped LH in the pits, and though the pace wasn't on right off the bat, he was spooling fast laps putting moves on Kubica at the time. Not to mention Kimi being faster than Lewis in the first 2 sectors all weekend. 3rd sector was weak for Ferrari but perhaps after last night's epoxy session maybe they found what was missing in the Hairpin.

    I'm just saying...

yup, Kimi was flying before the pit stop, had be not been rammed in the culo, we would've been in the lead or second, with more race pace than the Bimmer...

Kimi did end up with the fast lap of the race.
