From Autosport The line in bold really cracks me up.. Its cool to see such a solid father/son relationship; but I really wonder when Anthony will let his little boy into the big wide world and allow him to make decisions by himself.
I can understand wanting to be focused on the championship and not wanting the possibility of an injury in a triathlon to mess something up but it's looking more and more like Lewis needs a new manager.
I read the entire press conference transcript, he was totally pressured into saying yes to the triathlon.
But you know what, no one will pay any attention to what you have just said on here Its another chance to bash The thread is young lets give it time
I can understand that Lewis is going to be more busy than Jenson over the next few months as Lewis is fighting for the title and is a higher profile driver than Jenson, but couldn't they have some kind of event after the season has ended?
Having none of it, Coulthard urged: "He's throwing down a man challenge. You can't turn down a man challenge." Haha!! Coulthard = funny! When he retires he should consider being a comedian.
It is easily forgotten in the usual Fchat style that Lewis has a couple of 2nd Dan Black belts (Dan which means man by the way)in Karate. So i dont think that running up a track in Lycra is a qualification for man status As much as i really like Jenson, i remember well Jenson very well at 22 years old, if a breeze blew he would stumble
I've seen groups of 11 year olds with second and third dan black belts before so I really don't think that gives lewis "man status".
Well that was a waste of a post. The 11 year olds that you have seen are called junior dan grades. When over 18 dan grades means "man" in the japanese martial arts systems. Now you have been educated in some thing you clearly know nothing about
I'm not a Hamilton fan, but I don't blame him for bailing. It's pretty easy to throw out a challenge for something that you're good at and you're training for. It would be like someone challenging me to a Marathon July 27. I haven't trained for it, you have. You've probably been training for it for weeks/months. You give me 3 weeks and dare me to beat you? Um, no. I think it would be great to see them go at it in a sport that neither is expert in. Maybe bowling.
The guy is no kid at 23 and a professional sportsman for years. If he was not up to the challenge for a number of good reasons just say no in the first place. Clearly it would have been stupid to participate but why get immersed in the debate. Would Hamilton have taken a drinking challenge if Kimi probed him to a contest??
