According to McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh, Lewis Hamilton should not change his aggressive approach to racing despite the heartbreak of his first lap exit from the Italian Grand Prix. http://bit.ly/aCN9lr

They had better build him a stronger car then.

I hear Ferrari has a strong one, maybe some disgruntled staff there could oblige..:)

I would not tell Hamilton to change his approach either if I am running McLaren.

Like what Michael Schumacher said about Vettle after the race at Spa. Hamilton is trying to win the WC, so that means he will have to take risks some times during a race.

The leopard need not change its spots he just needs to learn a bit of restraint.
Hamilton (like all of us) will find that his greatest asset is often his largest liability as well.

Hamilton is just a very competitive driver and his aggressivity is one of his assets.

Sometimes there is some brain fade in the heat of the action, but the guy is always trying, which I find the mark of a true racer myself.

agreed. hamilton's approach has gotten him to where he was. he made a big mistake last week and no doubt will learn from it. he needs to keep trying to win races now, especially since he's 2nd in the driver's standings again.

I agree. If he wants to win he shouldn't change anything.
