Read this on the F1 website.

    Laughed my a$$ off.

"His appearance at Brooklands marked the end of a busy weekend for Hamilton, who on Saturday participated in the annual Round the Isle sailing race around the Isle of Wight off the UK’s south coast. Unfortunately, his first sailing event did not end well. Hamilton’s crew and their Hugo Boss craft were disqualified from an eventual eighth place following a collision with another boat."

    Sound familiar?

    a) His team must not have told him that the other boat was there
or b) he'll come out and say that having other boats in the water during a race is a "stupid rule".

Was his dad driving the boat by any chance?

Who do you think is laughing more, you or him?
Two years ago he had nothing......zero, now he is being paid 20mil plus endorsements to drive F1 cars on a sunday afternoon. A new lake side house in Switzerland and all the trappings of a playboy life style which include having fun in a power boat race. Might even buy him self a private plane next who knows. But who do you think is laughing more? Or more importantly do you think he is bothered about a nobody on an internet forum laughing at him because he was
disqualified while having fun in a powerboat event?
Some of you people really do need to invest in a life:rolleyes:

    Well said.

There is nothing more annoying to read than the gratuitous bashing of successful individuals by armchair critics who haven't achieved much themselves...

I agree. We should never poke fun at people with vast material success, since they take themselves way to seriously to laugh at themselves.
Everything that they do is perfect, and we should bend down and worship those that have all of the trappings of fame and money.

Quite presumptuous of you. Do you know each of our achievements (or lack of), or do you just spout off inaccuracies to support a fellow Brit?

It is quite obvious who defends Hamilton, and who does not. Usually goes along the lines of nationality.

I do not give a care about Hamilton's nationality. I have very close friends that in live in the UK. At the end of the day I do not care about the car he drives. I always liked Hamilton's personality. Hamilton is a highly paid public figure, like it or not. He is being looked at with great scrutiny, yet he does not yet seem to comprehend how to respond without bringing the roof down on himself.

Lewis Hamilton is getting some bad advise and it shows. Even my UK friends think he has crossed the line and has let his head become much bigger than his current ability. He still refuses to accept his own responsibility.

Fact is Hamilton has made serious mistakes in the last 9 months, luckily neither himself or another driver has been hurt. But the subsequent denial of the obvious makes Hamilton appear to be the arrogant snot so many wrongfully thought of him last year. For those of you that defend him, get real, get honest, the kid is truly giving off the wrong signals. He is courting negative responses from the press, and from us lowly members of internet chat sites.

I hope someone sets him straight soon, Hamilton can be a real positive addition to the image of F1 worldwide.

Making these really stupid mistakes putting him into Satoland is one thing and is acceptable, it happens, but his denial of responsibility is not. Accept that fact that he will get flamed, and for now, he deserves it.

If you filled out your profile, then we'd know where your coming from. It only takes a second to fill out. Of course you do have to have the skills necessary to complete this task.
