Hampton Summer Rally

    I would like to thank all of my friends and ferrari owners who participated
    in our Hampton Rally on Sat, July 30. It was a huge success and a great day
    to see about 90 Ferraris at La Piazza restaurant in Merrick.

    Traveling a little above the speed limit down Ocean Pkwy was quite a thrill to say the least. Of course I had State Police all ready to give us a escort
    when we hit Southampton but when he told me that his phone was
    ringing off the hook about 80 Ferraris doing 125mph on 27 they told me that
    all bets are off and no escort. What can you do!!!

    Thanks to all our sponsors and the money we raised for Juvenile Diabetes
    Research Foundation. Thanks for all the support to help us get closer to
    a cure.

    Good to see you on the board. Sorry I missed the rally this year. I hear that it was a fantastic day, as always. Mike Lussos at FLI has a ton of great pics form the event. Made me jealous. Very jealous...

    Ron -- thanks for joining in here and for the kind words.

    We that attended had a GREAT time on the rally -- there's nothing quite like blasting down the Wantaugh at 150mph with 100 other f-cars filling your ears...

    Thanks again and I'm already looking forward to next year!

    This was my second year attending the event and it was once again a day I won't soon forget. Thanks Ron for organizing yet another hugely successful event and I'm looking forward to next year.

    As for the NYS Police, I was I first person to ask the "young trooper" if he was going to escort us through the traffic. His response was very similar to what you stated...and he certainly wasn't smiling.

    obviously an early on spotting... we were just getting started. Best run ever! Best moment was the Enzo walking away from and Rob and me at 150+.
