    Big surprise, mine is sticky . I did a search and didn't fins a removal method. I hope just the "sticky" part can be removed. Thanks for the help.

    I had mine done by stickynomoore a while back. I was able to just twist and pull it out. Good as new now.

    It can be extremely hard to remove, but it will eventually slide out.
    I have replaced mine with a carbon fiber one.
