    Hi all ,

    Is there a way to turn the park brake off so I can remove brake pads, paint calipers etc. Car is on axle stands now.

    Making certain it is safe to do so, start the car, use the handbrake activation lever, and turn off the ignition. Reading the owner manual in the car might give alternative ideas.

    With my Portofino,this is covered in the Owner's Manual. If the paint on your parking-brake calipers is as shabby as mine was,paint them with Rust-Oleum gloss black.

    Do you need to start the car or just ignition on, press park lever and then ignition off?
