    Hi

    For the uk in order to make my challenge car street legal I need to fit a non hydraulic hand brake/parking brake

    Wondered how people had achieved this?

    I understand GT in warrington is currently looking at converting a challenge
    (may be its your car). I called them as I am looking into the same problems and they suggested they had a devised a solution too. May be closer to home.
    But essentially, a piece of metal has to be machined to accommodate the hand brake shoe.
    Are you changing the springs too ? it's something that I am considering for road use as I somewhat value my back.

    I just had a chat with John as I am trying to sort out my handbrake issue. He was very nice over the phone. You seem to be in good hands. Can you please post a few pics of your car ? do you intend to make change to springs ?

    Quite a few things to sort out as well but the car is in great shape and runs like a champ.

    Nice, congrats. Please share hand brake solution if different from other thread. Here's mine which I just got recently. I already have it street registered, but may still want a handbrake.
