Mine needed adjustment. Couldn't get the adjuster to move, so needed to get the rotor off - there's a day of my life I'll never get back. Anyway, it turns out that there's no lining at all on the brake shoes, so...

I take it that these are unobtainium and I'll have to get them relined. Does anybody know how thick the lining should be?

The lining had fallen off mine as well. I had them relined and they just needed the drums as well as the shoes to match them up. Cost about $100.

Just got them relined - $85. Didn't get the drums machined as it's only a handbrake. Now to put Humphrey back together again...

That's great. Quicker and cheaper than buying them in from overseas.
You must have most things on the car sorted now.

Humpty - been up since 3am (had a break and enter at the premises), and have been operating all day, so a bit tired.

BTW, lots of little pitfalls, traps, and blind alleys doing this prick of a job, but I'm now all over it. If anyone needs advice, feel free to ask me :)
